1 cup butter (2 sticks)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
Saltine Crackers(regular or I use multigrain)
1 cup or so chocolate chips
chopped pecans or walnuts(optional)
On low heat, heat butter and sugar to a boil. Boil for 4 minutes. Line cookie sheet with foil (VERY important step unless you want a very sticky mess to clean up). Layer cookie sheet with Saltines. Pour butter and sugar mixture evenly over Saltines (use spoon to spread out evenly). Bake 10 min. at 350 degrees. Immediatly pour on chocolate chips (they will melt). Spread with knife. Sprinkle with nuts, press down gently. Refrigerate for about 1 hour. Break apart and ENJOY!
